  1. Great video, couple questions – Have you tried a triwing? I haven't really seen any XL triwing blades, but if there was it should allow you to reel very slow. How about a trailer hook? Throwing a buzzbait without one scares me.

  2. Excellent video. Two things came to my mind while watching. Why couldn’t a twin spin buzz bait work? They have great lift and easy slow retrieves. Also, It seems to me that the long Zoom Trick worm would cause short strikes. Seems like the bass would miss the hook going for the worm.

Still, I am going to give it a shot. Big bass do love the buzz bait. Thanks for the video.

  3. My first tourney last year was in exactly the conditions you're describing (mid-March, overcast, south wind, 48 degree shallow water) and the only way I caught bass was crawling a black Whopper Plopper over submerged grass. Not exactly the same, but close, so this seems legit to me.

  4. This is a real gem of a tip. I won a club tournament in March on Truman lake maybe 25 years ago. And it wasn’t close. Haha.
I love that black Jamaica Boa Buzzbait. It’s my favorite Buzzbait…..but it also causes me the most frustration. If the blade bends at all…..it is difficult to fix. It will get stuck during the retrieve and stop rotating. But I still buy them because when they’re good……they’re real good.
