  1. Should look into building an app that matches baits to conditions and maybe a discount if watch a short on certain baits. Just trying to figure out how I can have my tackle matching up properly to what you pros would do. Example. I punch in lake weather etc and out pops your picks for baits to use. Call it Todd Castledines. Cast A Line

  2. Was wondering if you could post your tourney schedule so I can instantly follow results. Thank you for keeping your vids all about angling. Great stuff Todd. Have a fantastic holiday season.

  3. I was fishing a big bass tournament on toledo a few years back and flipped a jig in a brush pile and hooked a monster flathead… I was counting my money in my head until it came to the surface then I was heart broken. LOL still a fun fight though… Great video as always keepem coming man!!

  4. That’s crazy. I caught a 5/6lber last year on a senko. It def is a good time catching different species and the laughs you get out of it. My kiddos had a blast each taking turns trying to reel it in and their faces when we got it in were awesome to see. Thanks for sharing a video like this

  5. Giant for 8lb line,I did the same thing on a flathead that was over 30 biggest cat I ever caught I was jacked up over it to,I with ya Todd those are the fish that get ya fired up,great video

  6. I was listening to the conversation with Matt, and it reminded me of something Matt Stefan did a lot of. Which was fishing in very urban areas, which I remember I did for a time using a bicycle to get around. The trouble was the crane birds had zero qualms about swooping down and stealing your trout off the end of your line, while you were reeling it in. I know I'd just give anything to watch Michael Iaconelli reeling in a winning two pounder, and see Harry the crane swoop down and fly away with it. I used to see young anglers it happen to, and a crane even stole my trout once (and believe me, even in a catch and release, those fish were super hard to catch). To be derived of one's success in that way, I remember it affected you.

  7. Spinning rod Todd out there proving to the haters that you get giants on the spinning pole.

One thing that great about a big unexpected catch like that is it can give you a ton of confidence in your equipment. Makes you realize how much we are babying bass when we probably really don't need to, even with lighter line like that.

  8. If you’re fishing a tournament, and you hook a fish that you know is huge and you’re pretty sure it isn’t a Bass, do you fight it in? Or do you just cut your losses so you don’t burn time?
