I was born and raised in Chicago, but after working 12 years in the financial Industry regulating the futures and options markets at the CME/CBOT I decided to pursue my passion fishing professional tournaments and left my full time corporate job. The crud craw looks like a full size Trooper, which I use on finesse jigs all the time and wished they had a larger version…. I have used pieces of MaxScent baits to add the scent to other baits….it is expensive so I try to find it on sale and add used pieces to jigs and a couple of other rigs.
Essentially a rage craw or a super trooper up sized and a speed craw. But can you get them to bring back the Critter Hawg I only have enough to last this season!!
Once upon a time the stronger scented Berkley baits were called Tournament Strength. I had a lot of success with them as well.
Eh I think maxscent has proved that there are times where its better and Matt is sponsored by Berkley so at least you know BUT what I appreciate about Matt is he gives you advice on how he uses the big vs small bait. You can apply that to any bait mfg since there are a bunch that have the compact and bigger craws so overall Matt is providing great information that can be applied regardless. So buy the Berkely or not but there is still a lot of good information presented, another good one, thanks!

Interesting new baits. Sorry, off the topic but Tactical Bassin just released a video today showing underwater footage of microjigs and last one was jighead with mini hula grub. It really shows the action which is incredible. They also love hula grubs as well.

No disrespect to you, Matt, but Berkley strikes again knocking off Zoom and Strike King. I do like Maxscent, but it’s unfortunate that they haven’t had an original idea since the Chigger Craw and Pit Boss

That Stank Bug is the answer to my prayers!!! I am a huge Speed Craw guy but my favorite scent is Power Bait. That thing looks like the best of both worlds all wrapped up in one bait. Guess I need to drop by Bass Pro tomorrow and see if they have them yet. Sure hope they make them in some sort of red color. I have no idea why Zoom only does red once in a blue moon. I ended up just finding a guy with a Speed Craw mold to pour me some.

Thanx Matt. Hey look, a Rage Craw and a Speed Craw. I don't care because they all steal each others ideas. The one that looks like a Rage Craw really turn on when the water temp gets up. 75 degrees plus and Rage Craws on one of my rods, Texas rigged with a 5/16oz weight.

The crud craw is going to be great football head, c-rig, t-rig. I love max scent I truly believe the mat finish is the best option for clear water

Max scents baits are expensive but.. it flat out works…they bite and don’t drop the bait as much

When you price your product above Yamamoto. You might want to rethink it.
If those work as well as Berkley Gulp for the saltwater they'll catch a ton of fish. Gulp soft plastics are unbelievably good for getting bites but everything chews them up fast. Gulp spray for putting on any baits works well too. Much better than not adding any scent. I bet their sprays for the freshwater work for bass too. I won't use a lure without adding scent anymore except if I go trolling. I never did well with lures until I started using Gulp baits or soray or ProCure or Dr Juice scent.
Those craws are pretty cool. They'd catch redfish and flounder for sure, especially if they smell like shrimp or crab from a spray or gel.

This kind of upsets me those speed craw legs that engineering Zoom owns , Zoom sent me a Certified by a huge law firm a Ceast and Desist, an if I did not take it down on my website I was getting Sued by Zoom
I like it these are similar looking to a Zoom speed craw and a Denny Brauer DB craw with Maxscent. For stop and go or slow fishing I really like the Maxscent. Good to have another choice. Now where does Chigger craw fit?
Essentially a rage bug and a uv speed craw. That said cool to have those options in a maxscent variation and great advice on when to toss either/or!

$8.99 is way too much for 6 rubber craws. max scent is a marketing scam. it's designed to catch fisherman not fish. ya, fish will bite it but there are more reasonably priced baits that work just as good or better.
Are they gonna be able to make some clear max scent baits. I would get all maxscent, if they had some transparent versions too.
My two small local tourney wins last year were on a Berkley General and a Berkley flat worm. Both with the MaxScent of course. Oddly enough the flat worm only caught larger bass even though it was smaller than what would catch a smaller bass on a drop shot.
