I have a question. What do you do on a lake that is dirty most of the time suddenly has 4 ft of clarity? My lake is lake Wylie NC/SC. And it is always dirty. There is nothing shallow. We don’t spotlight , but do side and down scan. Did not find fish out to 10 feet. This time of year. I expected 10 ft or less.
Great video and spot on info!
Spunk shad is the best trailer you could use for a chatterbait
you sound like you just got into fishing. You’ve been taught the wrong way by whoever convinced you to recently take up this hobbie. Youre assuming a lot of stuff. Bass are unpredictable pal. Maybe chill out on the YouTube videos and leave that to people more experienced
Please tell zoom to make a black and blue and a Junebug colour thanks 😊
Never caught any fish on a chatterbait.
I still use Tornado spinnerbaits
I ordered some products using your link! Hopefully it translated! Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us!
Take the skirt off ! Triple your bites and use a spunk shad or Rapala freeloader , your welcome 🙏
Good video. I've been tying my own skirts for several years now. Appreciate the advice.
I used the white with clear shimmer shad chatter bait today walking around our community docks at my place on the lake and tossing it behind the row of docks where the bass are starting to bed and had a blast. This is an area where the Crappie spawn, and I experienced some pretty "Violent" Bites Today The Bass just loved it…I want to thank you Randy for your 100% proven technique. I did exactly what you said to do and it worked flawlessly…
Thank you!
I hated those things when they first came out and now I have a lot more confidence after getting wore out by the non-boater. Thanks for the tips, it really helps.
Great info Randy, how about doing a how to video next time your tying some skirts. Im sure a lot of your subscribers could benefit from it.
Randy I don’t know if you’ve tried them yet but the chatterbait Evo Elite is an awesome bladed jig and is cheaper than the Jackhammer but has all the premium components like the Jackhammer also the start up on the blade is instantaneous
Polarized sunglasses are devastating clear water fisheries everywhere, it allows you to see fish you could otherwise not see, and in real time!! This must be banned.
I have never understood the tannic water thing. The water is tannic looking because of the bottom. Put at a camera on the bottom facing up and that water is clear as can be. I’ll stick with natural colors. Black and blue and red are the most overrated colors in my opinion.
i mostly fish ultraclear waters. color doesn't seem to be an issue when the vegetation is thick. in fact, firetiger kills 'em. i tie my own. otherwise, if the vegetation is sparse, i scrap the skirts and just fish with a trailer. been doing this since they came out in early 2000s. black is one of my go-tos in ultraclear water.
Great tips, Randy. I'm in FL and you're spot on with the black in tannic water. I also like using a white or white belly trailer with a green pumpkin chatterbait when the light intensity is right, usually cloudy days.
Ban solar bat sunglasses, it is an unfair advantage it's FF SUNGLASSES !
Thanks Randy for the video ! I love fishing a vibrating Jig !
Good morning Randy!
