I want to add on the bait size theory. my personal best pike (im from sweden so bare with me on the waights and so we use the metric sytstem) was 14,4kg (about 28,8lbs ish. caught it on a lure that was about 25 cm (2 inchech ish! so yeah the biggest baddest of them all usualy feed on the very smallst!
