  1. Thank goodness these are priced pretty decent hell u just told us to take scissors to our brand new high dollar swimbaits!!! Lol I just finally got my four magdrafts in two rigged and two freestyles can't wait to catch a giant!!! I've throw 3 to 4 inch swimbaits for long time but finally decided to try some big bait and glide bait fishing!!

  2. Randy use forceps when putting a split ring on a swivel. Grab and lock the eye of the swivel with forceps. Use the forceps to guide the swivel eye onto the split ring that is held open with split ring pliers. I swap out split rings and hooks on most of my swimbaits and use this for the ones with swiveling hook hangers. Also do it with spinnerbait blade swivels, though it's a little different because of the swivel.

  3. I remember buying a pack of baits called "Chatterbaits" back in the 80's… (the original Chatterbait was a soft plastic jerkbait & came w/a pack of bubble rattles- they had a pocket molded into them and rattled as you popped 'em around). The Chatterbait was sold at a little bait shop in Nacogdoches, TX & I was thinking, "I bet these things won't catch fish like my buddy said they did!" Well I was mistaken. ….Sort of like what you'd said in an earlier one of your videos- only a few few real bait category advancements in the last 30 years. Swimbaits, Senkos, bladed jigs, ?, ?, … You'll never know unless you buy some and dedicate some days chunking them under the right conditions.

  4. Randy I'm pushing your channel on facebook. I'm in lots of fishing groups on Facebook so I am telling everyone to like and subscribe to your channel. Thanks for the tips, goodluck and God Bless!!!

  5. After a closed mouth swipe, you gotta dead stick it. I wish there was a way to have these swimbaits work how they do, but then change buoyancy and not sink, but they'll swipe to wound/stun/kill food, then come back and eat it. I fish striper a lot and they're hard to catch because of this activity. They'll hit it, then follow it, but the swimbaits sink like a rock when they're not moving. We almost need a soft jerkbait or something to do both things at the same time.

  6. So, I have a question. Is it prudent to use lures which represent organisms that are native to where you're fishing? I've been hung up on this idea lately, & I've been compelled to re-stock my tackle more with lures that look like the critters in my area (western NY has lots of spot tail shiners, bluegill, brown crayfish & gobies).

    Opinions?

  7. For two more mods to can attach the hook hanger to the top portion to be able to bottom bounce it and make it more weedless and you can also cut the magnetic harness out and use that slot to use a beast hook and make it weedless,, for the 8in you can use a 10/0 or a 12/0

  8. Man your channel is growing faster than I've seen any other fishing channel! You must be doing something right, keep it up! I'm loving the content and its been helping me fine tune a lot of my presentations

  9. Randy, do you ever use a bait right out of the package? I love these tips, they're so helpful. Especially for someone like me, who was a crappie fisherman for most of my 38 years. I got into bass the last 3 years and I live and breathe it. I have never gotten into fishing like I have over the past 3 years. Bass fishing is so much fun, that is all I think about. I can't wait for the ice to melt up north.
