I like a dirty jigs compact swim jig as a core staple bait. 2.75 inch x-zone swammer had good success for years. Easy to pair up shad to bluegill colors
Great video and this helps me put together some stuff to try. Question please, of all of the tackle on the walls in the tackle room how much of it do you ever use? Just curious. 😊

For summer, I have to have a walker, not plastic off course. Vixens are in my tackle but don't really make the rotation. Jerkbait. Must have the best lipless. A swimmybait is a must. No swimmy jig. The two other baits are some other type of hard lure. I really do not like plastics. I think it's really amaterish. I Love Hard Lures is the store built for me.

The wacky is a really good follow up bait down here in Florida as is the Orark rig, swim jig and frog. A tx rig stick bait is also a must. Ned's are not really a thing around here, no smallmouth or spotted bass and the bait is just too small given we have much larger bass on average that readily eat bigger baits …
I used to be able to fish all Summer with just a Scrounger, a swimbait, a 6XD, and a magnum spoon and caught monsters. Now it's a Neko rig, drop shot, shakyhead, and wobblehead to catch babies….I hate asian carp.

I live just down river from you and with regards to the ned rig an absolute slayer for me both largemouth and smallmouth is the zman trd bugz in bama bug color on a 1/10 oz zman finesse bulletz jig. I know you love the goldie locks but do you use the blue gill color especially for largemouth up here being that’s their main food source?
Just spent 5 days on upper end lake of the ozarks. You got it caught them on wacky rigs, ozrark with sweet beaver, jigs, chatter bait, and the 3” fluxgill niko rigged
