  1. It's crazy how Googan has grown.

The OG group, including 1Rod, should be very proud of what they've created and how they've helped other young men of our generations find success in what they love as well.

the pre-googan deal crew held it down for the homies and that's what up. 1Rod's decision back in the day impressed me also – I think most of us would not have chosen to turn down the money that he did.. It made me happy to see him being involved again, after he came back from his break.

That group of friends/young men put in the work and paved the way for guys like you, Logan – I'm proud of what us younger generations of men are accomplishing in America. (not saying they handed you anything, they just showed young men what was possible in this brand-new content creation world and set up a spot in the industry for everyone else to come and enter into alongside them, which most people don't do when they get that kind of success and fame in any industry). Youtube has only been monetizable for a little while and most of the quality fishing content was the previous generation teaching stuff, like Matt Allen and Tim Little at Tacticalbassin – I think the OG Googan guys were the first young men to do it big in all of fishing youtube (or bass fishing at the very least).

Even channels like GoodGood Golf seem to have modeled themselves after the success of the Googan Squad (I could be wrong on this, but I'm pretty sure I'm not).

I only see what is posted online, so maybe there's more to the story; this is how I've seen it unfold as someone heavily involved in online culture since AOL dial-up.

At the end, you said you were proud of yourself – you should be. I'm proud of you too (you're another young American man and both humans, imo older men – I turn 33 soon – need to tell kids/young men this more and be more supportive of you guys when you're doing well – it wasn't an option for me to make money from what I loved as a kid – my hobbies were treated as somehow bad or unproductive/not good for me)

Then, in highschool and onwards, my friends were dropping like flies, dying from drugs or drug-related violence, or being sent to federal prison for a long time. The ones who survived that suffered in other ways, some more than others – me and my peers fell through the cracks of school/society and very few of us made it out alive without serious problems.

You seem like a good and honest young man – be proud of that too. It's rare where I grew up. If you happen to also come from poverty, or a troubled past, just know you can overcome it. Bend, don't break.

PS: don't ever let anyone talk down about what you've accomplished – 44k subs sounds small in 2023, but how many people from your home town have a growing channel with quality video/audio/editing? You are kicking ass in life, Logan. I admire you for what you're doing – trying to make a living doing what you love at such a young age – most people your age don't even start the channel they dream about having, let alone get even halfway to where you are right now – keep grinding

  2. A regular fluke with a pop rivet with the rivet taken out using the tube to make a line through swimbait out of the fluke.. cheap and easy and you can get them by the bag full for $5!!!!

  3. Awesome video! I only fish swimbaits and it is so fun! I do recommend using a 200 or 300 size reel. Like the Tranx , Curado K and Tatula 200/300 . The gears in those are more suited for big baits and wont wear out the gears as fast in that beautiful Antares. Much love!

  4. Try and twitch the rod on your retrieve instead of just doing a steady reel. Change it up on them. Make that thing look like it’s having a hard time or dying. Also, a little tip for the draft, the one hook point that you put up into the bait, take pliers and bend that one side out to where it’s almost straight but not quite straight. It’ll stay in the bait a lot better. It doesn’t mess with your hook up ratio either. I’ve never lost a fish on the draft and I do that to all my swim baits.

  5. Literally just bought that same exact one today along with a few more and a couple more dark sleepers! Megabass is the juice man. Slams Megas ONLY! Keep experimenting with them. You’ll be happy with the results.
