My Profile:
http://www.mattstefanfishing.com/

I was born and raised in Chicago, but after working 12 years in the financial Industry regulating the futures and options markets at the CME/CBOT I decided to pursue my passion fishing professional tournaments and left my full time corporate job. At that point, I moved to Junction City, WI with my wife Sara and two boys Hank and Duke. I’ve been fishing professionally since 2011 and full-time since 2015. I’ve qualified for seven MLF Championships and won over a half million in tournament winnings at the professional level.

  1. Matt,

You should check out Spro's Flappin Frog. This is the only frog that I'll fish. It's a hybrid between a toad and frog but floats like a frog and kicks like a toad. Very similar gurgling noise from a prop. I hook up soo much better with this frog and the plastic last a long time. I had a pike bite right into it and it didn't even tear. Just need to super glue the belly weight and bead at the end of the frog. But it's worth it.

  2. Would definitely recommend the Scum Frog Trophy Series for new frog fishermen as they are the softest frog I have found and have a great hookup percentage. In the Chicago area it is definitely the start of frog season!!

  3. Kansas just had a big front so frog bite shut off but I have several already. I'll give thus a shot when we get our temps back up.

  4. Matt – I have what I believe is the best cheese bait out there. Not trying to sell anything. But I would love to share with you. Some assembly required but like 1 minute 🙂

  5. What the fuck Matt member ship content you went scummy on me fallowing Randy BS , good luck dude YouTube’s free dudes like you are changing all that we support you by our views likes and subs go get a real job if your not making it

  6. Have not tried it yet but I will. I have been getting replacement tails for the sprinker frog and using them on a swim jig works amazingly well and they smoke it because they don’t see it all the time

  7. nice tip, Matt! I’m sure it gives a better sound than the teckel frog, plus you can put this on any frog. 🙂 By the way, someone’s letting the facial hair grow. ha Looks good👍

  8. That looks very creative. I have trailing hooks that use the same method of attachment on most of my frogs, but I will definitely try that trailer. I hope it comes in black.

  9. Matt your right on the money about Okeechobee, huge lake that fish's incredible small. No shortage of things to flip and pitch at. You can run a search bait for long stretch of water and not get a bite. Still one of my favorite places to fish.

  10. I could put 5 Jitterbugs with those plopper tails onto an Alabama rig and I still don't think I'd be able to generate a topwater strike. I bet they work great for other anglers, however.

  11. First time I saw these but I will be getting some. In the late 1980's I got selected to fish as a amateur in a BASS top 100 on the Potomac river. At the tournament I met I believe the gentleman's name was Lloyd Talent the inventor of the Rat. I believe he sold it to Mann's. Lloyd was also a amateur competitor and won the tournament fishing the rat. Lloyd and I roomed at the same motel and spent time talking fishing and tournaments because one day was canceled because of a hurricane. Maybe Hugo? Well anyway the rat was the start of the frog baits we have today thanks to Lloyd. Nice man.
