Multiple species day becomes a bass fishing day

From September 13, 2023: I had the afternoon today to spend some time on the water down at St. Mary’s Lake. I originally was thinking that it would be multi species day. But it quickly became a bass fishing trip as I was able to catch 13 small largemouths. Check out how I did it.

Tackle used: 5 ft ultralight rod with a size 1000 Sienna reel by Shimano with 8# braided line and a. monofilament leader tied to a jig spinner (Beetle Spin) with a 1/16 oz jig and a 2″ Christmas tree grub by @YUMBAITS .

Conditions: air temperatures in the low to mid 80’s with partly cloudy skies and a breeze out of the west.

Timeline:
00:00 – Intro
00:50 – Plan for the day
02:27 – First fish
05:15 – Paddle into the wind
09:00 – No rod or reel needed
12:22 – Summing it all up
