Morning Topwater Bass Fishing with a Whopper Plopper – FINALLY!

I finally caught a Bass this morning while fishing topwater with a Whopper Plopper! After multiple attempts to catch a bass, today was the day. Slowly retrieving the topwater Whopper Plopper, while fishing from the bank, is enough to get me two bass this morning. And a third bass was on the line… This fishing lure was sent to the show by WILKINS’ OUTDOOR ADVENTURES. I appreciate the challenge of getting that first bass on a morning topwater Whopper Plopper, Finally!

  1. Learning time! Check this out… the definition of the word "Should":
    1. used to indicate obligation, duty, or correctness, typically when criticizing someone's actions.

This means anytime someone says you "Should" do something, they are saying that you are obligated to do it like its your duty. Its actually a form of criticism like "You're doing it wrong" –

    Example: Trolls should eat sh*t!

  2. That first bass was a Weenie Pleenie. 😀 And again. BOAT GUY. BRAWWWWWWWW. (PS: I'm going to send you my fave bass lure. It's the only artificial I've ever caught bass on in upstate NY lakes and they were big.)

  3. Way to go man! Love the Whopper plopper! I mean who doesn't lol next time try horsing the fish out of the weeds right away with that braid instead of letting tension in your line. Don't always work but works better than clicking your bail and messing with them that way. Great episode thumbs up man

  4. i'm curious about your recording setup, your audio is always excellent and i've seen the chest mount you use for a gopro or gopro style camera, do you stick with just the audio from that camera or do you use an external mic? i'm really interested in starting to record like this when i'm out at the pond. always enjoy your vids, man. have a good one!

  5. Fish! Congrats dude! It took me about 6 or 7 times trying the whopper plopper before I finally got a small one this past weekend. Seeing the action of it in the water, I don't know how a bass can resist it!

  6. @Realistic Fishing I love the Whopper Plopper, one thing I found, if you keep the rod tip down and keep about 1 foot of line in the water directly in front of the lure, it makes a lot more noise. Have fun, nice video!
