In this 27 Sep 24 excursion to a small lake in Knob Noster state park, MO, an unexpected 22.5″ bass grabbed a Z-Man Shad FryZ lure while I was crappie fishing with an ultra lite outfit.
It was the largest bass so far in 2024 and somewhat of a miracle to have actually gotten it out of a mat of water weeds/hydrilla.
Overall the lake was not impressive in terms of its crappie, bluegill and bass population, but the big one made it a great day.
Rudie was once again very influential in the outfitting process. His advice continues to produce results! hahaha
