This late winter day, I launched out from Ballona Creek, located next to Marina Del Rey. I headed out to the nearby artificial reefs, located about 1 mile in front of Venice Pier. On the Hobie kayak, it took about 1 hour to get there, but with the water warming up and spring around the corner, it didn’t take long to find the feeding fish. This is a great fishing spot very accessible for those kayak anglers willing to make the trek.
