  1. Awesome video, bud! I’m gonna guess that most of the people who fish are doing it from shore, especially the beginners. Not enough juice online for these guys – way to go backing it up to the basics.

I, too started by roaming banks and running rivers. At some point, getting a boat became an obvious evolution.

If you can figure out how to catch ‘em from the bank, you will eventually do even better from a boat – whether its a canoe, Jon, kayak, float tube or a $100k bass boat.

  2. Excellent video, takes alot of guesswork out of randomly roaming the bank. I like targeting any irregular features like emergent vegetation, laydowns, shaded shoreline, etc…anything that stands out and is different from the rest of the available cover. One of my favorite baits for bank fishing is a frog which I follow up with a stick bait on short strikes or swirls. Thank you so much Randy for taking time to help out us bank fisherman!

  3. Great video. I mostly fish out of a kayak or on the lake bank, but still one of the best things is just tying on a rooster tail and take off wading down one of these Ozark creeks around here.

  4. Finally!!! Someone is going to talk to us pond fisherman. How would you fish a pond that the bottom is covered with slimy decomposing vegetation? It fouls your bait on every cast. Thanks for all you do.

  5. Randy, thanks for remembering us bank anglers especially those of us who try to outsmart those elusive bass on pressured lakes and urban ponds in local parks. Most of these lakes have water clarity less than a foot with unknown objects that get snagged on when dragging a finesse rig or drop shot. But they seem to bite those better than moving baits (jerk, crank, spinner, chatter, top water) Maybe a quick video about techniques to undo a snag without breaking your line. 😁😱👍🎣🐟😉

  6. There’s a lot more to bank fishing in ponds than just saying it’s easier because you can cover the whole pond and parallel the bank. How about a
One hour seminar in-depth on bank fishing to really teach anglers how to approach and catch more bass from the bank especially those who can only fish public pressured ponds.

  7. Another great video with awesome info. I don't own a boat , but looking into kayaks. Bank fishing here on my city lake is so very limited due to homes on the lake . The city also decided to beautify the bank by covering it with big jagged rocks that make it near impossible to bring a fish in. Smaller pond like you mentioned are where I fish most. And that Texas rigged senko type worm got me several bass over 5 lbs in 2023. I'm not that good at catching with spinner baits for some reason though. Lipless cranks are my choice. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.

  8. Thank you Randy from a 100% of the time bank angler, mostly fishing neighborhood ponds and once and a while getting out to Lake Norman where good public bank access areas are few and heavily pressured.
