MAKING a Swimbait that Catches BASS

My buddy FLW Pro Circuit Tournament Angler Jacob Wall loves to make swimbaits! He’s been making a variety of swimbait lures since he was a kid on the west coast of the United States. Anything from jointed homemade lures to custom glide baits to rat topwater lures – he is an artist and a craftsman. To make a swimbait he usually carves a master out of wood using a variety of tools as well as hand tools to create detailed fin and scale etchings. Sometimes the lures are totally out of wood, others use the master to create resin recreations – a much less labor intensive process for making a swimbait.
