  1. I agree with everything you said and love that you look at the big picture. I used ffs and got pretty good with it but it was not as fun as fishing the traditional way. I just became a huge fan bud. GO GET EM!!!!!

  2. I’ve got FFS on my boat. I like it. It’s fun. But it has ruined many days of fishing for me. When I fish Monday and Tuesday nighters, I ignore it completely. It can be distracting and a waste of time. I still catch the majority of my fish flipping banks with Texas rigs, shaky heads and dredging with crankbaits. I’m not mad either way if they ban it or not.

  3. I 100% agree with everything you said. Your Poker-playing skills help you understand odds and numbers that apply to business concepts. Most people can't understand anything other than their own personal needs which is why this country is in trouble.

  4. In my personal opinion: the anger and hoopla over front facing sonar sounds the same and is coming from the same people who got all bent out of shape over the Umbrella rig. People have to understand that the sport of bass fishing is going to evolve like any other

  5. NPFL will be very successful. They also have chosen the right direction regarding technology. I’m certainly not against the technology however forward facing, technology has no place in tournament fishing. Not just bass fishing tournaments, all fishing tournaments.

  6. It is the best move for the NPFL. This will make them stand out and give them much needed publicity to maybe help grow their league.

This move needs to be followed down at the high school, college, and amateur levels just based on the shear cost of the FFS equipment alone. This will help even out the competition for those who do not have the financial means to purchase the technology.

  7. This is the best thing ever. The problem with the livescope in pro fishing is the fact it's putting too much pressure on the fish. common sense tells you that will negatively affect the fish. it is the right choice. Answering this question did pro fishing change once FF live scope was introduced. yes, big time. Anytime there is a major change in the wildlife it affects them. What did it do, it now put pressure on the entire body of water not just the shallows. Now all the fish are under pressure at all times.

  8. I agree with you that it is money driven. Boats, electronics, rods, reels, and even baits are overpriced. Hope this move drives down the cost of FFS for the recreational angler. Probably won't. But professional bass fishing is on the decline, it's not a highly marketable product. Any sport that has a league where, if you have enough money to participate, you're a "Pro", then you're not.

  9. I would equate forward facing sonar to sight fishing here me out does a pro or amateur 🤔 who casts at an inactive bass and foul hooks Said fish with a giant swimbait or a fluter spoon or a cicada is that considered a legal 🤔 catch I am just saying the technology knows days is opening the door 🚪 for people to cheat I am not against technology but it's getting to be out of control 🤔 we need to keep are sport true and competitive for everyone and level the playing field

  10. I think FFS is the least of fishing problems….like you mention there are a lot of sponsor making huge money on electronics, large truck company’s money plus entry fees where is the cash going. Add money from Open EQ and lower leagues the payouts don’t jive. It’s been $100k to win for how long? Time to start paying you guys and lowering your entry to play. Real pros shouldn’t have to pay to play period. Let’s climb the salary mountain, not the FFS problem.

  11. Thanks Kyle. I pretty much agree, and I don't think as a fan it will effect me, I was a fan before FFS, and am still a fan after, if it goes away I will still be a fan. I think the fish are showing signs of getting wise to the technology and adapting. I know there will be technology in the future that will make FFS old school. You can't stop technology, I don't know if regulating it in tournament fishing is the answer, that said if everyone holds to the rules it keeps things fair. Good luck in 2025….FishOn…..jimi

  12. I think using them as a means of learning what fish are on certain structure, that fish are biting on a certain day, in certain temperature, in certain water color,, using certain bait colors, that's ok. But to always rely on it and use it in a tournament is a slippery slope.

  13. Not sure its a good move…. Only my opinion… but when something new comes everybody has a chance to get it and use it…. So where does it stop? Maybe they need to ban spot lock for trolling motors, why does anybody need any engine bigger than a 200hp, why have any electronics at all? I see both sides of the issue but bass fishing on tv looks the same somebody standing in front of a boat throwing a line in the water wether they are looking down at the water or looking at a screen still doesnt make the fish bite. Only thing tv has going when they cover bass fishing is its all recorded so they edit everything out so somebody is always catching fish….. how about to make it more competitive they have a 15” min length.. the list can go on and on.. but hey npfl can make their own rules just like all the other series can if somebody doesn’t like it they can find a series out there that fits them and theres alot out there.

  14. How about all the delayed mortality involved in the dog and pony show weigh ins? Standardize the equipment and stop the live well and dog and pony show weight ins. The fishing public is getting sick of the exploitation of public water.
