lure fishing kent oyster beds for bass

Here is a compilation of my 45 minute lunchtime bass fishing trips on my new HOBIE PASSPORT 12.

I am targeting man made oysterbeds which are about 1km off my local beach. These structures act as a reef and provide shelter to an abundance of crabs and baitfish, which intern draw in the bass.

I have found using small diving crankbaits to be excellent here.

  1. Brilliant videos, I've also just got a peddle kayak and been doing ok this year at the other end of town. Tight lines and maybe see you on the water. P.s I have a few rubbish videos on my channel, just got a go pro so some better ones of me catching weed and maybe a bass to come

  2. Brilliant…don't know how you do it bobbing around like that. I was sick on a pedalo in Spain once and this brought those memories flooding back 🤢🤮🤣. Great to see you catching loads of fish. Love the rod holder cam 👍.

  3. Is there any reason why you don't hold the rod all the time whilst trolling? I would have thought that was one of the benefits of a pedal kayak? No paddle equals hands free fishing.

  4. Nice video…I got a second hand kayak with intent to go fishing for bass but I realised I just don't have the confidence to do it! There is so much to take on board with safety etc.

  5. Nice video. I have been fishing for Bass from a kayak for a while (Dorset) and generally troll between marks so as not to waste time. Weed less for trolling is definitely less problematic. I did risk a Megabass Zonk in deeper water and got a good sized Bass (50cm) Don’t be tempted if it gets slow to put out 2 lines. It can get messy! As you have clearly found out the sight of the rod bending and the drag screaming is very exciting. Good videos well done.
