30s… LOL u crack me up. I just turned 60. You triggered a thought. Bass highlight shows used to make it look easy. Now, there are days when they're active and chomping, but more often than not, you're gonna have to work for say 10-12 bites in a day. So, I keep that in mind and don't sweat it when I go a couple hours without a bite. Yeah, I'm changing techniques or whatever based on the location/conditions, but I'm not stressing about not getting bites. I quite often have a couple/few and things are slow and then BAM I run into a school and "get right" in a 15 minute period. Oh, it bears mentioning that 10-12 fish ain't on Champlain. That place cranks 'em out. My son and I caught at least 170 in a single day one August a few years back… and we moved around a lot even tho this 1 prime spot was LOADED. We probably caught 100 just off it.
