@John Skinner Fishing I was at the river when I got bites.
@John Skinner Fishing last week I used the information you've given me an information I read in your book an used bucktails deeper water. I got bites on the fall, I worked bucktails moderate slow retrieve with occasional gentle pops for 8 seconds to 12 seconds. After Fishing 8 seconds shorter distance from target back to me, I let bucktail fall 4 to 6 seconds to reach deeper water that's when I got hit. Sadly I missed the fish because people distracted me talking to me. Note to self yes Engadge in conversation but focus on my rod an the water to catch fish 🐟 🙄 that was a bad mistake on my part 4 fish I could of had but didn't. That's my own fault
Striper heaven…
What beach is that
Years ago I was fishing a surface plug off a breakwater on Cape Cod. I seagull dive bombed my plug when it hit he water and got hooked. I didn't know what to do so I cut it loose. Poor guy couldn't fly, so he just drifted out of sight. Hopefully he met a quick end. I feel bad about it to this day.
Hey i live in eastern longisland never have luck on the sound what town are you in here don't have to tell me the beach don't want to blow up you're spot just curious

If you call that like an aquarium what would you call this? https://youtu.be/lbjathOfXxo
I try to explain to folks about reading the water,,, We can see the way your head`s on a swivel and that You are tuned in. They think it`s all Luck,,, I think if they could see better or knew better that they`d do better. Every fish is a Blessing. Thank You Sir for helping Us All to see Better !!! **cheers** =) Awesome Book by the way !!!
Is this Lake Michigan?
another commercial.. JUST FISH!
Hey sup can Ik were is this place u fished in please
So much for matching the hatch. Would have been fun watching them crash a topwater lure. With that many birds though you would probably have them jumping your plug.
Crazy action. This is what keeps me going
"i need to be more selective". that makes me so envious
I told ppl at work im taking that day off hahahahah love it
28inches legal size wow. Its 18inch in westcoast
John! Aquarium, eh? I own an aquaculture business at the Long Island Aquarium and my fiancé is the Curator and Co-Founder of the aquarium. We love your videos and would be happy to give you and your fam or friends a tour sometime. Monday-Friday: Just ask for Joe and Laura at the front desk. Come see our stripers and blackfish swimming at the aquarium.
amazing find john!
do you take people out wishing with you? i am willing to pay
Great place to fish. I been landing record number of albies there past couple weeks. Small bass & big blues mixed in. All kinds of bait. Beautiful site.
It is very nice fishing alone on the beach and the fish is baiting… Perfect
what about me ??? pls tell
Awesome video, thanks for posting
John Skinner is the best. I've learned more from his books and videos than from any of the other pros. Not saying those guys aren't great but he seems to be the best at writing/teaching.
I’m pretty sure I have never seen that many bass in my life.
