Late August Fishing in the Susquehanna River and Tributary

Temps cooled down significantly following a storm front which led to a tough late summer bite. I still had majority of fish caught on topwater and a mixture of nice size smallmouth bass.

Rod – 7’ medium moderate/fast

Reel – size 2000

Line – 10lb braid to 4’ of 10lb flourocarbon leader

Lures – Whopper Plopper 90, Megabass x70 jerkbait
