Largemouth Bass Rescue! Did I Do the Right Thing?

I just rescued a largemouth bass! But did I do the right thing? When I arrived at my fishing spot this morning, I discovered a bass tied up on a string. The string was tied to a ratchet strap on one end and the fish’s mouth on the other. I suspect it was there for a while, and there was no one around. So I let it go. I hope I did the right thing. After that I got to fishing with a jerkbait, and gulp minnows. I couldn’t catch anymore bass but I did catch some bluegill. If you found a fish tied up and no one was around, would you let it go? #fishing #realistic

  1. You 100% did the right thing. I will not have fish stuck to become turtle food. I've emptied a few stringers too because I was the only one at the damn park. If you want to eat them then take them, if not then release them. Period.

  2. 100% did the right thing. That was so trashy and cruel by whomever did that to it. And the way they had it tied on was just sickening.

People need to take their catches home if they are going to keep them(if legal size as applicable). Completely senseless letting a fish struggle and suffer like that.

    Great job Alex.

  3. No bass caught today but i did manage to catch 6 bluegill , biggest an 8 incher on worms . Tried out my new Ugly stik dock runner rod with pre spooled reel i picked up for under 20 bucks today.
