I don't like Largemouth fried I love to pan sear it with a nice Cajun seasoning it feels like more of an honor to the fish.

But if i was you id stab it in the back of the head right away or smash its head with a rock, because then it didnt have to suffer because it makes the meat last longer since it has more oxygen in the meat of the fish so when u put it in the freezer it lasts longer, also its js more humaine, thats just what ive heard from @ace videos! I think it's fine to eat bass if there are alot of smaller sized bass in the location but if there's not a big population of them I wouldn't I no it's a sport fish for most people me included but my dad back when he was alive as a kid his bass filets where amazing keep it up 💯💯💯 just don't take the population out Def big older bass and they contain mercury also

Edit: makes more sense when I got to the end, I still find it weird that so many fishermen don’t eat bass and only catch them for sport, I’ve grown up eating bass, it’s delicious… nothing sacrilegious about it

You’ll probably never see this, but you should bleed any fish for plan to cook immediately after catching and dispatching it. The heart beats for several minutes after being dispatched and will pump all of the blood out when you cut the gills. This gives nice white meat which tastes much better.
