Late fall on Lake St. Clair is one of my favourite times of year to chase largemouth bass, and this trip reminded me exactly why.

With the season quickly coming to an end, I spent a beautiful fall day exploring the marshes of Lake St. Clair, flipping an Anglers Choice Craw into heavy cover in search of big bass. The weather was cool but sunny, the fish were feeding, and everything seemed to come together.

The bite was steady throughout the day, with plenty of quality largemouth coming over the side of the boat, including some truly impressive fish. There’s something special about those final bass trips of the year when every fish could be the last great catch before winter sets in.
