Lake St Clair Smallmouth Bass Fishing Report For August

It may be August, but you wouldn’t know that from the smallmouth bite that’s been going crazy on Lake St. Clair. I’m going to give an updated report as to the conditions, water temp, depth and techniques we were using to get on some great smallmouth bass on legendary Lake St Clair in late summer!

@brettdowdican8019 aka FISH THE MITT was kind enough to take Rich from @owlsnestoutdoors and I out for some non-stop smallie action. Be sure to check out Rich’s channel for more footage.

  1. All the time the tube works just sitting there. Really is a do nothing bait. Great report. Very similar to what I found. That fish that took the rod in almost was a MONSTER! That curado looks sweet by the way!

  2. That was an amazing adventure. You guys had great catches and great save on the need rig rod.. I'd say that was an epic outing for sure.. Thanks for sharing. I can't wait till the next video
