Lake Russell bass fishing can be tough in the summer. This is the first tournament in the second half of the Rod Benders Bass Club season. I am currently in the lead in the battle for Angler of the Year. My goal is the bring in 5 fish each day. I was at this lake 2 weeks prior and once this day started I quickly realized that things had changed a lot! The turnover is starting and it has affected the offshore bite. I had to run and gun all day searching for active fish. I knew at any moment I could find a school that was active and could fill my limit quickly. Thank you for supporting the channel.
