Back at Lake Perris for a few hours and I thought the deeper side of the lake would be the play… I worked 25–30 feet and couldn’t buy a bite. I slid up shallow (under 6 feet) and still couldn’t get them to commit—until I made a simple change.

I switched colors of my SMH worm by #zmanfishingproducts and the whole day flipped. Ended up landing 9 bass total, with 2-3 keeper size in the mix. If you’ve been struggling at Perris lately, this is a good reminder that sometimes it’s not the spot… it’s the small details.
