I got back out to Lake Perris for a mid-week session and spent part of the day trying to locate the fish. I started working deeper water out to about 20 feet but couldn’t get a bite. After moving shallower and focusing around 8 feet of water, the bite finally turned on.

I ended up getting 6 bites and landing 4 bass, all coming from that mid-depth range. It looks like the fish are setting up in that 5–8 foot zone right now, especially around rock and submerged vegetation.

This trip really helped narrow down a pattern, and it made a big difference on the next outing.

I went back the very next day and focused on the same depth range — and the pattern held. Managed to land 9 bass on Thursday’s trip. That video is coming next.

Lake Perris is starting to feel like it’s moving toward the pre-spawn, and small depth changes are making a big difference right now.
