Back out at Lake Perris after work for a follow-up session to see if the pattern from the previous outing would hold.

I started the evening fishing the same general area that produced the day before, working a similar approach. The bite was there again, but as the outing went on I moved a little farther east and started targeting slightly deeper water around 15 feet.

That adjustment made a difference.

The fish were still biting, but the quality improved. I ended the session with 13 bass including a couple solid fish over 3 pounds.

This is exactly how these after-work trips go at Lake Perris — small adjustments day to day until the pattern really starts to show itself.
