We launched out of Pa He Tsi on Lake of the Ozarks for a hot July fishing trip and ended up with a solid numbers day.

The water temperature was 88 degrees, the lake was stained, and conditions were partly cloudy with a light north wind. We fished from 7:08 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and finished with 27 fish, 7 keepers, 28.9 pounds total, and a best five weighing 10.5 pounds.

The early bite was all about the white swimbait around breakwater. That bait produced 13 fish and gave us steady action through the morning. Later in the day, the bite shifted to the bank, where the Pig Stick worm in Green Pumpkin Watermelon produced our better fish, including the biggest bass of the day at 2.61 pounds.

Main patterns:
White swimbait around breakwater
Pig Stick worm on the bank
Bandito Bug and TRD CrawZ also picked up fish
Breakwater produced numbers
Bank produced better keeper bites later

It was another good summer day on Lake of the Ozarks. Hot water, stained conditions, and plenty of fish willing to bite.
