In today’s video, I visit The 45 Landing Lake Greenwood, The Fishing Village, for Summer July kayak bass fishing where I use the pencil lure for most of the day. The plan for the day is to fish around the rip rap until sunrise. Once schools start chasing shad between the pillars, toss the pencil bait on top of them after letting them get a little fired up. It worked.
Thanks to Larry from Lake Greenwood Bait & Tackle. He turned me on an effective lure and some general Greenwood advice. Fish local, shop local. This is why. He had the right lures, for the lake I was at, on the right day, with the right explanation. They just moved into my top 3 upstate tackle shops.

Hey there!! Let me get in your ear about something. Fish local, shop local. The awesome staff at Lake Greenwood Bait & Tackle, Larry is great, had the best advice on how I could enjoy my day on Greenwood without killing myself in the heatwave. They don't have the biggest selection but they have a quality selection and lots of live bait. It cost 5 to park here, although there is free ramp across the street, pay to park because, fish local shop local.
Everyone I know throws walking baits on casting gear. I don’t know why, but I’m so uncoordinated I cannot get that walk the dog motion with my left hand. Can’t do it. It’s heavy spinning gear only for this guy.

Man you was Was dead on them fish man. I can tell it was a fun day before it got hot out there. Brother I got a chance to Try out a kayak just like yours. It was very very nice man & like it too. The only problem was I couldn't use the pedal drive because my foot was to wide & my feet 🦶 kept falling off the pedal so I try to pedal it with my flip flops 🩴 on & still the same problem man. It suck so bad man cuz i had to Paddle it to use it & my lil brother Tim rented it out for me. It suck having Extremely wide feet 🦶 man. Good video brother. Thanks you for sharing it.
