Kyoya Fujita’s winning baits at Lake Champlain

In this #TackleTipTuesday brought to you by Mercury Marine, Kyoya Fujita tells us about two of his lures that he used to win at Lake Champlain. Fujita was targeting schools of smallmouth feeling on pods of baitfish known as alewife. Fujita utilized a damiki style, jig-head minnow technique for the majority of his fish catches last week. #bassmaster #fishingtips

  1. I first hoped BASS would hire a translator. But I like the way he tries to use his own words. He is young. He'll learn it. Congrats, Kyoya!

  2. HAPPY FOR THESE GUY'S AND EVERYTHING, BUT I'M SORRY, IT HAS GOTTEN TO WHERE IT'S NOT EVEN FUN TO WATCH ANYMORE. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE FORWARD FACING SONAR NOW, AND THE GUY'S IN THE TOP 10 ALL FISH THE SAME WAY, ITS LIKE WATCHING THEM PLAY A VIDEO GAME, JUST SPEAKING FOR MYSELF HERE, NOT EXCITING WATCHING THESE GUYS LOOKING STRAIGHT DOWN AT THEIR SCREENS, I'D BE ALL FOR IT FOR PRACTICE, BUT MAKE THE GUY'S REALLY FISH ON TOURNAMENT DAY.

  3. FFS has ruined the sport. No other sport in the world allows technology to enhance during the competition. It’s no different than spotlighting for deer, or range finders for golfers, jet packs on football players, pitch identifying googles for hitters in baseball etc etc etc.

  4. Kyoya has a very strong focus on what he is doing. He doesn't waste time throwing himself on the deck of his boat, or losing his cool when a fish is missed. He simply fishes on. Very disciplined.

  5. Not against FFS completely, but I’m certainly not gonna watch a guy watching a screen, also wouldn’t watch an F1 driver racing a sim race. Congrats to Fujita, but it’s not for me.
