I hit Kentucky Lake with my friend Drew for a few days for some offshore structure fishing and shallow bush flipping. This lake is full of good largemouth bass! But, it also spotted and smallmouth bass species and on this day we caught all three. I really wanted to figure out the ledge fishing bite and got a great experience with what it takes to get these Kentucky lake largemouth ledge bass to bite. I’ve never seen a lake where the bass with feed so heavily in an instant, and then just as quickly shut down. We ended up catching a few good bass off of each ledge spot and moving around to a few others. In all we probably graphed over 20 spots to finally find a few that actually held bass. Make sure to watch the following day to see the other shallow bite as well. There were not as many big bass up shallow, but there were plenty of good ones.

You need to come back to Kentucky and bring the rest of the Googans.
You do not yank a hook from a fish mouth. Take a long nose plier, PUSH the hook back, twist it 90 degrees, and it usually comes right out.
Do the catfish like cubes of Spam, which is dynamite in the Ohio River?
Can you eat fish from that lake without glowing at night? I know all Kentucky waters are filled with Mercury

Just out of curiosity I would like some feedback but what exactly were they catching that they were calling drums I am from the salt water so I'm used to like red drum black drum and those types of fish is that the same species or something different entirely

I fish ky lake all the time. My favorite place is the very North end of the lake, trolling up and down the dam and catching small mouth and large mouth off the rocks
Dude, my Father took me and my brothers to Kentucky Lake 60 years ago. Now, my brother has a home on the lake,and brand new Ranger Z520, and we have fished there all of our lives. I am STOKED about these videos of Ky Lake. Fish-On brother.

Regarding the wind conditions you're fishing in, I always have trouble controlling the boat in anything but calm. I spend more time with my foot on the pedal than fishing🤔.

LFG which ramp was that you guys were at? That seemed like an ideal put in for us kayak folks…. tough to compete with the guys in the bass boats on the larger ramps.

Grew up fishing that lake in the summers as a kid. Caught my first of everything in that lake. Spread my Grandads ashes in that lake. RIP Leon Douglas.
