Kayak fishing the SoCal summer dog days

Great day on the water at Skinner Lake in the thick of the August heat. Caught about 10 fish including a surprise catfish and bluegill. Both fast and slow presentations worked, as well as both shallow and deep water. At one point the wind ended up pushing my line near my motor and it got tangled up in the prop. After figuring out the problem and realizing I couldn’t fix it on the water, I called it a day and paddled back. It was 101 degrees but there was a good wind helping me back.
