Kayak Fishing for BIG Bass and BIG Money

Chasing big bass and big money on Caddo Lake for my first Hobie Bass Open Series kayak fishing tournament of the year. Caddo and Bisteneau were both in play for the event, but I chose to focus my efforts on Caddo and used my one day of practice to check two areas of the lake. After a late day run I had myself in contention for a nice check! #bassfishing #kayakfishing

  1. I left our first tourney this past weekend about 2.5 hours early…still feeling bad about it. Weather was cold and the wind was ripping from the N and hadn’t gotten a single bite. Told myself I was gonna move ramps but drove home instead.

This video gives me some inspiration for sure! Props to you for overcoming!!

  2. First advice I received kayak fishing tournaments was never give up. You may land the biggest bass for the tournament. The State championship was two days. I caught 4 fish the first day and knew I wasn't going to win. But went back the next day to shoot for the top 3 finish for day 2. I had a lot better day 2 and felt good about myself after the tournament. Will never give up, it's just fishing and having fun. That's all that matters.
