Certain times of year Taylor lake can be very good for trout. Ive also had great fun launching from Armand bayou park and fishing where horsepen dumps into mudlake. The clearlake area can be fun…and its 5 minutes from home.
Could you tell me what model fish finder you use please I can tell it’s a hummingbird trying to purchase the one you recommend

Leave it to MDLR to catch a trout limit in 30 minutes and snag a channel catfish in saltwater.
Amazing video! I love fishing that area and that's the first time I've seen anyone catch that many there 😅 I've maybe caught a couple undersized ones there lol 🤷
It also holds gators. Some pretty big ones too, 10 footers. When I would crab at the clear lake park boat ramp pier late at night they'd be coming back from clear lake back into the bayous in Taylor lake village.
