Kayak Fishing Brady’s Lake in the Poconos and Trinity’s first Kayak Bass!

Eli and dad took Trin out to a new lake for us, deep in the Poconos and let her try out a “big girl kayak”… good thing too as she caught not only her first, but also her second kayak bass! With a ton of subsurface growth, Eli figured out the beauty of the weedless fluke, and used the soft jerk bait to mop up on the local largemouth and pickerel.

We managed to pull off getting there before the sunrise for a dawn patrol session and had the pickerel launching clear out of the water chasing choppos and ploppers. By the end of the day, Trin was piloting her kayak like a pro, Eli was hoisting fish, and I was one proud papa. Dad managed a limit and eeked out another fishing challenge win over Eli, but plenty of fish were caught all around!

The whole time we were out, Courtney was sharing incredible pictures of her and Janielle smiling and giggling on their Disney adventure… and after a quick side quest for delicious Mexican food in Easton, we got home with full happy hearts, and promptly fell deep asleep.
