  1. I hope the economy pendulum swing will bring back the competitive fishing community in time. Momentum is tough to build. Hopefully good times will circle back around soon. I agree with you about B.A.S.S. Having an advantage over other trails. They have a strong history and that alone will provide some advantage. I was happy to see Kissimmee chain on the schedule this year, I’ll definitely jump into that event. Kissimmee has been good to me.

  2. Interesting. When I saw this originally I thought ,I remember some schmuck on YouTube taking about this like a yr or 2 yrs ago…
Oh wait, you were that schmuck that called this right as hobie was being sold off… (as you stated)
    BASStradamus over here.
PS- the possibility of an average angler under the top 50 winning a derby based purely on showing up and hoping they get lucky and hit the biggunz is…. on average pretty low, Any bookie would happily take your money on that bet.

  3. Boyd convinced 80 guys to leave other tours which they qualified for to fish MLF. Then pulled the rug out from under them .
BASS only paid the top 50 guys. The bottom 50 didn’t get paid and the bottom 9 guys or so get cut based on their 3 year average .

  4. Spot on…. People fail to believe everything comes down to money and if you are spending more than you are bringing in you can only do it so long. Tough business decisions need to be made. Sponsorship dollars are shrinking and without it legit business decisions come down to profitability.
