I’d never been to Lake Jocassee, but I’d heard things. This lake is known for its scenic beauty as well as its unusually cold, clear, deep water–all things which concerned me about doing a tournament here as I am more of a hot, muddy, shallow-water fisherman. But I put those reservations aside and decided to compete on what turned out to be an unseasonably cold and windy day. It was a grind, but the work paid off in more ways than one…
