  1. the opinion of what it is should not determine the outcome, that water and the shoreline should be public because its not exclusive to the land it comes in from a public waterway which makes it public, the home owner was being a dick and shuldn't have made anything out of it. the deed to the property would have for sure answered all the questions so maybe try looking up the land records and that should tell you.

  2. If the authorities can't make a decision, you can't really blame the land owners.
If you have to get out of the kayak to navigate, it's not very navigable.

  3. If you have to drag your kayaks the way you were having to drag them- it isn't navigable. That is clearly obvious. You fishing or just pleasure kayaking doesn't make any difference, since he isn't claiming to own the fish.

  4. I appreciate the Warden's candor but what he said to you was a whole bunch of non-sense. Maybe it's just a Texas thing, but the regs are perfectly cut and dry up here in Washington state. That river was navigable, no question.

  5. Wow! What state is this? If what the game warden was saying is accurate, that state is f up.! It’s really fishy to me that navigable waterways aren’t clearly defined by their state game warden like other states. The game warden didn’t seem like he was real credible. It’s good ole boys here passive aggressively harassing the fisherman to discourage them from ever coming back. Know the water rules of where you’re fishing so you know what is bs. To fix this, then you wade in keep your feet wet. It’s not even a stream or creek that may be a non navigable in this case . I heard the warden say it is designated as a river, which should be considered navigable. The game warden doesn’t make any logical common sense. 🤪

  6. I was wading a trout river in the boonies, suddenly this guy comes from nowhere screaming get off his property. I explained thats navigable and he doesn't own the bottom of the river bhe argued that he did. I hate people.

  7. Stop trying to see how close you can get to the line without crossing it. You will never be right with God acting like that. That was a creek, not a river. Y'all should have been man enough to ask permission. Stop bening pompous city slickers and be good neighbors. Treat other people the way you want to be treated. Pretend someone is dragging a kayak across the land in the middle of the creek in your back yard. A good attitude and good manners means a lot. If that old man shot birds in season over your subdivision house or pissed over your fence and claimed he was not trespassing, then you might understand. Be polite. Ask permission. People will be happy to let you enjoy God's beautiful earth if you go about it right. Consider others before yourself.

  8. deem,vb.1. To treat (something) as if (1) it were really something else, or (2) it had qualities that it does not have <although the document was not in fact signed until April 21, it explicitly states that it must be deemed to have been signed on April 14>.2. To consider, think, or judge <she deemed it necessary>.
