Kayak Bass Fishing Championship on Oneida Lake

Here’s the 2 days of fishing from the New York Kayak Bass Fishing Challenge (NYKBFC) on Lake Oneida at the end of September. Tough fishing overall but it was a blast and met some fellow NY Yakers.

  1. Nice video. Are you using 1/2oz sinker (link show only 1-1/2oz) with Strike King Rage Menace like Texas rig? No fluorocarbon leader? It's unlikely….. but you proved it. I want to see more Oneida video.

  2. I’ve checked a bunch of videos but can’t find a link for either bait wrap. I am aware of the bass pro wraps but I am interested in the new wraps you are using TIA for shooting out a link

  3. Almost fished Oneida once, but ended up on Lake Ontario Henderson Harbor. Im from Texas so we don't have much in the way of smallmouth, but OMG. EPIC! So much fun catching the brownies. We caught over 100 and they were all 3-5lbs!! Greg when you coming back to Texas?

  4. I wanted to ask you about how you rigged your truck. Do you have a bed cover and a rack on the back of your truck? If so how did you. get that to work

  5. You've got me throwing a Rage Menace. Curious if you ever swim it, rig it verticle to imitate a blue gill , or use a flippin' skirt with it. Why the Menace and not a larger beaver like a Structure Bug, D Bomb, etc…?
Thanks for sharing the vids and info!

  6. Awesome videos, man! I'm a kayak angler in Colorado and like to fish small tournaments. Was just wondering what size SD card you use to record all day? Thanks! Keep the videos coming!!

  7. Oneida is one my local go to lakes. We normally launch where you did on day 2…Charley's marina. I'm shocked you didnt catch a smallie, they are monsters there.

  8. So, I just Subbed because I was watching one of my favorite channels (Zoffinger) and he was talking to one of my other favorite channel creators (Chad Hoover) who said he watches you all the time! Your videos are great and I'm gonna go back to binge watching them now…. haha

  9. very nice video! Just subbed. We usually put our boat in on Oneida Lake behind Dutchman Island at the state launch. makes for some great weekends fishing on our 24ft pontoon. look forward to more videos.

  10. Great video Greg. Congrats on winning the state championship. Question: Do you ever use or consider using a drop shot and wacky rig? Keep the video's coming. They're teaching me a lot!!

  11. very nice, Greg! found your channel these days and subscribed on the first video! you are exactly what I plan to be here in Brazil, a kayak Bass angler! ofc I will fish some snook and peacock Bass too. If you ever come to Brazil let me lend you a kayak and take you out fishing!
