My son Murphy and I set off for two nights of fishing and exploring deep into the stunning Noosa Everglades aboard our Hobie Adventure Island sailing kayak. But not everything went to plan—I made a crucial mistake that changed the course of the whole trip. Despite the setback, there’s a silver lining: we caught our very first bass!
