May 5th was the first MYA Maine Yak Anglers bass tournament of the year. I hadn’t been on the water yet, and was excited to fish. I was expecting the fish to be moving up shallow ready to spawn. I wanted to hit shallow points and coves near deep water and spawning flats. I ended up throwing the chatter bait and jerk bait al day. Lots of fish – but not the size I needed. Great fist derby.
