July 2024 Lake Guntersville Bass Fishing Report. Temps are hot. The topwater bite is hotter!

The July 2024 Lake Guntersville water temps are in the mid 80’s and the heat index is 100+ but if you are willing to sweat it out the topwater bite is on. Most of the schooling fish are 2 to 2.5 lbs but they are so fun. An occasional 3-5 lb fish is a typical bonus as well. 4” walking baits and a 5” custom Ginga Ninja Lures swim bait fished like a buzz bait is getting some heart stopping blow ups!!! This video highlights some of the top water action over a few weeks in July 2024. They are still hitting soft plastics too but topwater is hard to beat when they are biting.
