I use the "cheb heads" or "link heads" a TON for my perch fishing here in Sweden. I have tens and tens of smaller plastics prerigged on ewg hooks, and then heads in all different sizes, and then you just combine the plastic you want to fish with a weight suitable for the water depth etc. No need to have each type of plastic rigged on several hooks each with a different fixed weight.
VMC Swinging Ned Head…
ever put a finnese swimbait on it?
Check out Flatlands Tackle swinging ned head.
It's a very popular technique in the BFS world. It does give you almost endless rigging options. Some brands have better wire clips than others. Thanks for the video. Sharing and learning is what this You Tube thing is all about.
I just ordered these in lead from Temu, they had them up to 28g.
That you did't use this blown my mind. I use them from 2.5g up to 20+ g both in diffrent shapes for perch and pike here in sweden. It's just gives you so many options in hooks and presentation and perfect for the use of perch/pike-flys to fish them on a spinning rod but need to get down to the fish, and you can also use two small like 2.5g link them together for a 5g wieght that make some more comotion.
Kinda suprised I don't see more spinning flys used to catch bass are there any reasons or are they just "forgotten"? 🙂
What do you think about using the lighter weight size connected to a weedless wacky hook with a senko?? Seems like it could be deadly when you want to get a little deeper in grass but still have the wacky presentation. 👀
It's called the child rig, or a chicken rig, or a finesse jika rig…. we've been using it for years brosky!
Google the Decoy SV-48 Switch Cross or Switch Head; very similar and reliable plus a variety of sizes. JDM
Seems a lot like the Jika Rig.🎣 Looks good!👍🏻
Love me some options, thanks for sharing.
Thanks!! Now (deep winter) and summer that super small offering could be awesome. Super small ewg hook. Awesome idea. (The rest of the entire planet uses metric system, but “they” are the odd ones out. Lol. We are the country where a competitor tried to beat McDonalds 1/4 pounder with a 1/3 pounder. It failed miserably. 4 is bigger than 3, so Americans thought the 1/3 pounder was smaller. Not a joke — as BK.)
Looks like a mini wobble head
We stupid Americans have oura football shaped for the past 20 years from Do it Molds
Too risky. We could cause WW3 if they get too triggered. Or is that your goal? what was your ancestry again? 🤨🧐
Its nice but i would just put a split shot on in place of that
Ive been using this rig for a year now. Those clips are notorious for coming loose and require a harder hook set when this happens. Great video, thanks!
May blow your mind but I use Zman texas eye finesse jigheads that you can buy down to 1/15 oz with a 1/0 hook. No easy way to use a different hook like with that cheb rig, but I like that hook for the elaztech plastics. Hope they start selling that ewg hook with that little keeper on it.
Grams are actually a unit of an ounce. There are 28 grams in an ounce, so 2 grams is 1/14th, so slight heavier than a 1/16th.
Good stuff! Enjoyed the pics of your family on IG!
