  1. Rod/reel combo with fishing kit as an emergency setup https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxntWMOZsO1Zfv-pdn_XuffEtNkTYAYu4Z recommend but started to use this every day. The rod is thick and seems durable. I keep it neatly tucked into a regular backpack all the time with my fishing gear, and can grab it anytime, put it on my back and go anywhere. I just read in another review that the rod length below the reel is adjustable as well, so I will try that too for even more portability. Probably the best setup I've ever owned. I lost the cap for the eyelets, but no big deal since I still have the black cloth sheath that came for the pole and I use that. Very portable and high quality.

  4. Hey Roland, I used my Whopper Plopper this morning here in Lakeland and caught a beautiful (and personal best) 9.14 lb bass!!! It was right after the storm we had last night and this morning!! I figured it might be a good time to fish!! Biggest bass I ever caught!! I was actually demonstrating the Whopper Plopper lure for one of my neighbors and the bass jumped up and took it!! I wasn't that far out in the pond, maybe 15-20 feet or so and the bass just went crazy over it!! Have some great photos!!! Not sure how to attach a photo here but would love to show you!! A real award winning bass with a big belly! My guess is, it was having babies!!! It is back safe in our pond, but I never realized we had such a monster bass living in our pond. I've caught 15" + bass but not this big 23" bass!!! Whopper Plopper definitely works!!!

  5. I found a helicopter lure in an old tackle box at my cabin in northern mn. I remembervseeing sat am infomercials for them. Tried them out and still caight a few fish 30 years later

  6. I just recently bought a Whopper Plopper 75 as you suggested, (made by River2Sea). I caught my first bass today using it!! Only a 15" bass but still exciting just the same!! This lure really works and really holds up well!! I use other top water lures too and this one is now at the top of my list!! Thanks Roland for bringing this to my attention. Might have never heard of it if it wasn't for this video!!
