Alligators will eat you.
I stopped throwing top water really early in the morning because of alligators. I've had 2 different incidents with young gators right before sun rise
Rod/reel combo with fishing kit as an emergency setup https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxntWMOZsO1Zfv-pdn_XuffEtNkTYAYu4Z recommend but started to use this every day. The rod is thick and seems durable. I keep it neatly tucked into a regular backpack all the time with my fishing gear, and can grab it anytime, put it on my back and go anywhere. I just read in another review that the rod length below the reel is adjustable as well, so I will try that too for even more portability. Probably the best setup I've ever owned. I lost the cap for the eyelets, but no big deal since I still have the black cloth sheath that came for the pole and I use that. Very portable and high quality.
I’ve seen such a difference between the 90 and the 75 I think the 90 is only good for clear water because the moment I tied the 75 on in dirty water I got a hit first cast
Leave it to Roland Martin to fish next to a gator and keep fishin!! I use the 90 and smallmouth absolutely love it!!
I believe that Roland is almost as old as God
I'm in south Carolina any tips

Hey bud I’m born and raised on Kent Island , All my family are waterman, so obviously im addicted to water and fishing.. Was watching your video and then u commented that your from Maryland.. That was cool, plus I’ve caught some really nice Bass from using your tips. Plus I really enjoy how u teach, you give information quick , to the point and not dragged on like a lot of others.. Would love to see you in a video in Maryland, I’ve got a great spot for you to teach and catch! I go every morning before I have to get my jobs done . Either way keep up the great videos!
Wooooo son!!! Love it!
Been a fan since I was a little kid. I cannot believe I'm seeing Roland Martin again!
You have to say see you later to the alligator. That’s what makes em leave
Hey Roland, I used my Whopper Plopper this morning here in Lakeland and caught a beautiful (and personal best) 9.14 lb bass!!! It was right after the storm we had last night and this morning!! I figured it might be a good time to fish!! Biggest bass I ever caught!! I was actually demonstrating the Whopper Plopper lure for one of my neighbors and the bass jumped up and took it!! I wasn't that far out in the pond, maybe 15-20 feet or so and the bass just went crazy over it!! Have some great photos!!! Not sure how to attach a photo here but would love to show you!! A real award winning bass with a big belly! My guess is, it was having babies!!! It is back safe in our pond, but I never realized we had such a monster bass living in our pond. I've caught 15" + bass but not this big 23" bass!!! Whopper Plopper definitely works!!!
Grew up in the 80’s watching Roland and Bill and Jimmy Houston etc. it’s like watching an Old Friend Fish.
I found a helicopter lure in an old tackle box at my cabin in northern mn. I remembervseeing sat am infomercials for them. Tried them out and still caight a few fish 30 years later
I just recently bought a Whopper Plopper 75 as you suggested, (made by River2Sea). I caught my first bass today using it!! Only a 15" bass but still exciting just the same!! This lure really works and really holds up well!! I use other top water lures too and this one is now at the top of my list!! Thanks Roland for bringing this to my attention. Might have never heard of it if it wasn't for this video!!
Have a few 75s in different colors ! Eventually I'm going to buy more
Polk salad Annie. Gator got your whopper plopper.
Getting hung up a reed is just a direction change on the whopper plopper.

Que miedo pescar con cocodrilos
Hang on back lash coming 😂 thanks Roland for all years
It's a bad idea for me to watch Roland Martin before I go to work because then I get tempted to miss work and go bass fishing
I honestly think cloud cover and top water can be a myth only because i have caught many bass top water fishing in the sunlight
Roland, if there was a Mt. Rushmore for fisherman, you’d be on it 💯
Gator does same thing to me every time 😂
Best sunglasses tan line in the country.
Richard Gene would have done caught a mess by now
Thank you Sir! One of the legends still doing it. I remember watching him on T.V. along with Bill Dance. I'm 54 now.
