In today’s episode I talk about a recent trip I took to Clear Lake, California with Ish Monroe. Ish is a fisherman that I have looked up to for years and he’s forgotten more about frog fishing then I will ever know. In this video I talk about the day we had, a few things I learned from Ish, and everything about what was going on. You don’t want to miss this one! 🔥

What a trip
Would love to see you guys in a boat fishing together. Great show.
Not much better than a fire frog bite!
My most recent favorite frog last 3 years has been Zmans popping frogz. Because it's basically a weedless texas rig that floats. You can pop it, burn it with legs kicking. I can't walk it very well, other guys might be able to though? It comes through vegetation & cover extremely well & hookups are great. I haven't touched a normal frog sense. I like fishing big swimbaits & larger baits in general. But froggin is next on my favorite. My biggest frog fish this year was 7.4. my biggest swimbait fish this year is 11.4!
On the subject of Florida and Texas, and fishing.
If you’re a younger angler and want to learn more about frog fishing….. pay attention to Ish! Enough said.
I started frogging because I wanted to be the Ish Monroe of Northern Utah 😂😂😂 I totally nailed it. I'm the self proclaimed Utah frog fishing king lol. Ish is awesome always smiling. I love that guy
Should of called me bro
hey Andrew, please upload full video of you & ish on the water some day; Thank you, love your content.
Ish is a master of the frog, but there is another gentleman that is a master also and he just relocated to Texas that is Bobbie Barrack! Both also native Delta experts!😂
This video stamps what I have been thinking about I am a co_angler but I started watching Bobby Barrack and he preaches the same thing as Ish when it comes to that frog and just changed my whole mindset when it comes to bass fishing and frog fishing
Somehow missed you made a west coast swing, that's awesome. I fished Clear Lake in the fall once, the fishing was awesome but I'll never forget the slimy mess cleaning up the boat and reels afterwards lol
You tempted yet to give up on the opens, maybe chase one division and then just fish other random stuff that is more fun? The opens just seems like zero fun lol
Frog fishing has just never clicked with me. I seldom get bites on them and the whole time I'm thinking about other lures that I'd probably do better on
John cox won or top and flw event throwing it in the winter time in cold water I forgot where it was long time ago
I love throwing a frog! We don’t have much vegetation in North Carolina but if you get bushes and branches, it can be a lot of fun. Texas was way more fun with a frog.
Ish is my favorite Frogman! The Big Bass Specialist!
Ish is super cool I met him couple times waaaay back in the day on The Delta and on Clear Lake. He took time to shoot the breeze with me and my Dad. Mike Ike was there as well.
Looks like you are in The Keys on Clear Lake
TBH its a really tuff year for CL and the Delta. Its a huge rebound year for our water levels. All those docks where 20ft from the shoreline 10 months ago. Let it stabilize and come back again!
What is he coldest water temp you and Ish will throw a frog?
Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🦃🦃
200 Veiws And only 48 Likes ! Hit that thumbs up guys << 😮😮😮 Always great content < NO BULL CRAP ! THANKS – PEACE *
Yes I did I did learn about 🐸
I like skipping frogs
I have a quick question. The other day, I watched a video and can not remember whose video it was. It mentioned hat that YouTube and other platforms are how pro fishermen make their money. My question is, what is what makes a person a pro fisherman compared to being a YouTuber if their living is not solely based on performance.
My thinking is frogging, flipping, deep cranking and big swim bait fishing, it’s a hard headed affair. Lock the thing in your hand and go. All day. Great video.
Great show Upshaw!!
Thanks Andrew….gives us a whole new perspective on frog fishing…I'll be throwing it alot more because of this video…..
