My Profile:
http://www.mattstefanfishing.com/
I was born and raised in Chicago, but after working 12 years in the financial Industry regulating the futures and options markets at the CME/CBOT I decided to pursue my passion fishing professional tournaments and left my full time corporate job. At that point, I moved to Junction City, WI with my wife Sara and two boys Hank and Duke. I’ve been fishing professionally since 2011 and full-time since 2015. I’ve qualified for seven MLF Championships and won over a half million in tournament winnings at the professional level.
Yes dad I did notice that you didn't check Hanks drag
you can make molds with the resin (SLA) printers. and make silicone molds with the resin molds
the MP3 Lure Company (LP3)
Very cool. Certainly going to be a part of the industry moving forward!
How are the hooks attached to the lure? Is there a thru wire? Just as a musky guy I could definitely see this being used but need a strong hook connection. They probably already use 3d printer to make a bait and then create a mold from them.
Heck yeah Iโll support the young entrepreneur!
I get my soft plastics from my buddyโs kiddo
Good job dadโฆ ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ lol
I am so impressed with that young mans skill of making these lures and Im sure you are very proud of him alsoโฆ way to screw up Hanks big fish, lol!!!
Smart kid will support
Little boy is so exited, cute kids, start fishing so far canโt catch anything, really like it I will get addicted, thanks for the video
Great for prototyping and experimenting! Wow! ๐
Matt, I'm curious as to how young Jack integrates the metal hook hangers and front tie-in into the 3D printed fishing lures? Brad
Sounds like Georgia Tech material! Kids are sharp these days! Good to see he's using tech for something productive instead of just wasting time on social media.
3d printing is really strong for making open poor soft plastic mold negatives. You can prototype super fast then poor silicone to make the mold. Poor your hot plastics and boom you're ready for testing
Those baits are cool as can be. Very talented young man
Nice video, but trailering the boat for hours on end little hamme handles don't get me e
Hanks bait should be called โjet swim baitโ. Jack will be going to Georgia Tech soon with a mechanical engineering degree and then work for Spro.
Looks like the Tiger Cat flowage
Good video, nice baits and pikes and nice musky. Better luck Hank to get a bigger bass than Dad
Very cool. Keep innovating and coming up with more unique designs young man, the industry needs it. ICAST best of show was just what Japanese baits did the American companies rip off best. The "new" nessie included.
Sounds like core tackle could be branching out?!?
Congrats on the 1st muskie. Hows the action on the 3d printed lure?
This is really inspirational because I want to make lures that don't exist. 3D printing is starting to look like a great way to make blanks and maybe molds.
That is totally cool. I recently have seen several outdoor "tools" made from 3-D printers, it is awesome. Thanks for sharing. Always great to see the kids involved.
Have you ever used a lure you thought looked so silly and ridiculous that you were ashamed to let ppl see it? I tried the Yamatanuki by Yamamoto- have you seen this thing? Really odd-looking lure- I laughed at it when I saw it- but I've never used anything as productive as this bait. I put it on a hover rig- smashed them with it. Put it on a Ned- smashed them with it, tried it weightless with an EWG- smashed them with it. I even fished it wacky rigged- works great. It really doesn't matter how you fish it- get it in the water, around the bass- and they bite it. You gotta try it out- trust me, I think you'll be impressed. Everyone I know who has tried it has been pleasantly surprised. And like I said- it works perfectly on your hover rig.
Sweet, it could be the next big deal. Thanks Matt
Cool video. It's awesome seeing inovation from young anglers. Hopefully Jack's expertise carries him in to a lucrative carreer that advances the sport.
Big fish Hank almost had him another one. Good luck tomorrow know your chomping at the bit.๐๐๐๐๐
What a couple great kids!
๐๐๐ Hank was a lot cooler than I would have been losing that big one.
My medium was alway balsa or basswood. I'm lost on a computer. We know where his heart is regardless. Did you show off your hoover rig? Inspiration 9/10 of success.
That young man is getting ready to start a monster business, Hank that's why is called fishing no worries ๐
hank is killing me ๐๐ he must have had his heart broken by a pike.
This was a great video! That trick to get out a bird's nest has helped me out several times. But those 3D printed lures are just killer! I truly believe that is the future of lure making. I know several guys who are into that and some of the contraptions they come up with just blow my mind!
..and my caveman @$$ is carving/sanding wood. That's pretty cool. ๐
In reality…. It's not the future at all…. it's the current method used to prototype baits!. The same type software programs, are what is fed into cnc machines, used to make lead or plastic molds … Gre๐ฎ future ahead for him!
Georgia!! whoop whoop
