You have probably heard of this HOT new bass fishing technique by now. Hover Strolling made it’s way onto the scene a few years ago, but only recently gained popularity. We recently had @rawrfishing on our LIVE podcast and he dropped some awesome tips on the hover strolling technique. So I decided to take a short bank fishing trip to try it out for myself. See the results for yourself! Let me know what you think in the comments below!

Been fishing this technique for over 20 years, just never gave it a name. I called it jigging a fluke.
Because of all the boomers that complain, it’s sad how you have to give a disclaimer because you already know the hillbillies are gonna loose their minds that some hooks cost $7.
Great video!
#team temu haha
The name Hover Strolling made it's way onto the scene…but I have a hard time believing I've been the only guy fishing small jig minnows forever before all this strolling lingo came along. Same with the "free rig"….catchy name but nothing new. lol I guess it's good to see some technique specific lures come out, but so much of it just seems like marketing hype for FFS.
I love taking 2-2.5 inch plastics with a tiny worm hook and a 1/32 or 1/16 ounce bullet weight and setting up a texas rig on a BFS setup. I hit crappie, LMB, blue gill all day long on thoes.
What leader and how long
Nice
. I miss that clear Michigan weather
Enjoyed that video. Hoover strolling is my next adventure after watching rawr’s videos
Love the content.
Ok one more comment lol i think youd agree with. You can be the master of one lure and have days they just wont eat it or you can be a master of a couple lures and adverage at a couple dozen so you always have things to fall back on and catch fish.
10000 fish has a minnow thats like that fish arrow. Its way cheaper though. Maybe check them out. I havw a bunch i got from karls on a Christmas sale 1$ each pack
i may try them.
Just a heads up…if you use a bait with foil in it. DO NOT remove your hook. The barb will hook onto the foil and destroy your bait.
I like that you did it from shore i just might get into that rig
Question? Did you attach the jig head with a loop knot or direct tied? Tight lines
I use a bait from Raid that absolutely slays the small jaws,Largies and stripers. That’s all I’m gonna say. If you know you know. It’s actually not that hard to figure out if you look at there baits.
Very nice, try using traditional method so that you can have more options of lighter weights. 0.6 grams will make it sink a bit slower and allowing you fish it slower and you can try other techniques from the banks such as pendulating.
It's fun to stroll! try lighter weights via the traditional style and try to learn how to pendulate (with or without jiggling).
It is a learning curve but a fun technique
I love bfs but that technique is way easier on a spinning rig. Love the vids!!! Keep it up boys!!!
As always I had a blast watching and learning how you are doing this technique keep up the great work guys J.Tuck
Do you think the Yum FF Minnow with their ball jig would work?
It's interesting but I'll just stick with my old school spinnerbaits , crankbaits and Texas rig for the majority of my fishing.
Throwing little dinky baits on dinky rods for bass?…hell yeah Im in!
Would you want an ultra light spinning or medium?
keitech shad impact works great 5 bucks. Thanks for the vid.
Wouldn’t be the first time you had a sore forearm
Jesus, no need to fish an 1/8th oz bait on a bait caster with braid, ultralight and braid don't even compute. Ultralight needs to be on 2-4lb test mono with an ultralight open faced rod.
Yes fish it up!
The audio cut out in the first few seconds
The Flash J is one of my favorite Hover Strolling baits, have caught several 3-4lb largemouths with it. Thanks to @rawrfishing for sure on the hover strolling videos.
Interesting how the culture packaging looks a lot like owner… hi just different colors
90 degree aberdeen hook and a split shot would work just fine for those that want a DIY.
Had to check if my cat stepped on the keyboard when the audio muted for a second or two. So glad to see fishing videos again. It's been a long winter here in MI
