I was born and raised in Chicago, but after working 12 years in the financial Industry regulating the futures and options markets at the CME/CBOT I decided to pursue my passion fishing professional tournaments and left my full time corporate job. I fish to fish abd gor food, I'll basically try ant type of fishing myt my preference is still saltwater. I just get bit more there

Great video. I know you are already home, but I'll throw some ideas your way anyway. I fish the Missouri Ozark streams and catch trout on some of the same lures I catch small mouth bass on. You do not need to go real small. My favorite lure is a Berkley Flicker Shad, size 5 or 7 in flashy clown. I also like a Mepps Aglia gold blade spinner, size 3. It is heavy enough to cast far and it will get bit. The trout in Arkansas and Missouri are feeding mostly on minnows and crawfish. I hope you get the chance to fish for them again.

You should take your family to the White River and go on a float trip and have trout you cought cooked for lunch
If you ever get the chance to go Harvest Trout fishing, you have to do it. Sea Run Cutthroat are an amazingly beautiful fish and a blast to catch.

Trout down there is a huge industry. I’ll be in mountain home in a couple weeks and I’ll prolly make sure I have a trout stamp and I won’t even be fishing for trout.

im assuming you're using a med light rod for trout right? It is my perfer rod for trout as well but when i go somewhere with big one i like my med hvy
Matt, definitely pick up fly fishing as a side quest. It is so good for your soul! Tying your own flies is really fun as well. Thanks to you, this year, I caught crappie on an ice jig I tied, and on a rod I built from Mudhole out ice fishing. It is really tough to beat time on a clean river!
Well if you were going to get caught in a generational flood the best thing you could have is a high dollar Bass boat. Looks like yall had that part covered. LOL

That was awesome!!! Brings back memories when I was younger!!! Remember the time I was out in the river fishing where a stream came in and there was a nice size pool. Threw my Roster Tail around and caught a 21" Brownie which I now have mounted on my wall!! It Was a great day I'd say!! Stay Safe & God Bless!!!
I absolutely love trout fishing. Not only do they put up a great fight and taste delicious. They are found in the most beautiful places on Earth.
Cast upstream with some spinners or fly rod
I learned how to fish growing up fishing trout streams in northern New Jersey and upstate new york like the fabled Ausable River. If I was only allowed to do one type of fishing for the rest of eternity it would be trout fishing where you wads the stream. There's something magical about walking in a stream an fishing for trout
I'm really glad you got to fish for trout and I agree whole heartedly about taking care of the fish. I really wish BASS would go with the catch and release format rather than drag them around in a boat all day. Enjoy the joy of river. Living in East Tn, I'm fortunate to have many trout streams around and a wonderful feeling.
