Inshore fishing 🎣Fort Pierce for the first time. 🏖Beautiful area. Vlog178

I’m headed south to Fort Pierce FL to inshore fish this area for the 1st time.
My goal, try this new setup and hook into and catch my 1st goliath grouper.
A bucket list fish for me.
We 1st fish the docks for fresh bait.
Then we target multiple bridges and deep holes with no bites…
We then fished the mangroves and saw lots of large mullet and some very large snook feeding on them.
Unfortunately we didn’t get tight on any big snook. A few short strikes, but did get a few small jacks.
We head back to the boat ramp at sundown and decided to try the bridge one last time with some large lively mullet.
It didn’t take long and my buddies rod doubles over.
He lands a beautiful grouper, released and swam away strong to get even bigger.
Unfortunately we ran out of time with a long drive home and I wasn’t able to hook into one.
Stay tuned for round two. ill definitely be back and trying it again.
